To reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality in Nigeria by ensuring timely, equitable, and efficient access to transport for pregnant women during labor or events harmful to her and her newborn across Nigeria especially for pregnant women and new born children resident in Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Reduction Innovative Initiative (MAMII) prioritized Local Government Areas in Nigeria through community-responsive digital tools.
A Nigeria where no woman dies while giving life, and every newborn, regardless of location, has a fighting chance to survive and thrive through accessible Maternal and Neonatal Assistance. SAVEMAMA is part of a bold new chapter in Nigeria’s health reform journey. Anchored in the principles of the Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp) and aligned with NHSRII’s priority to leave no one behind, SAVEMAMA delivers smart, scalable, and sustainable maternal and neonatal transport response solutions, placing life-saving access in the hands of those who need it most.
Together with partners across federal, state, and local governments, SAVEMAMA is saving mothers and babies — one call at a time.

At the heart of the SAVEMAMA solution is a web-based dispatch platform that receives all maternal and neonatal transport requests, coordinates responses, and manages the end-to-end dispatch process. Once submitted, the request is automatically pushed to the central dispatch platform for immediate action.
Key features include:

Once the trip is completed, a digital voucher would be issued to the Transport Operator who redeems it using the USSD code *3581* voucher number #, which instantly:
